INVISTA’s CORDURA® brand fabrics continue to make an impression in the world of workwear—most recently making an impression on Kiplay, who adopted durable CORDURA® fabrics for its Techniforce and Techniprotect lines. The French workwear manufacturer selected high tenacity, 100 percent nylon 560 dtex CORDURA® Classic and CORDURA® NYCO fabrics for their durable, versatile, and reliable performance.
In Kiplay’s Techniforce range, CORDURA® Classic fabric is used to strengthen areas prone to high wear and tear. Additionally, waterproof treated panels of CORDURA® fabric are used to reinforce the front of the jacket, or the cardigan, on the shoulder and sleeves. The pants feature reinforced knee patches. Several different garments styles make up the line and are designed to support different job requirements. Depending on the application, the styles are equipped with pockets to compliment the work at hand: electrician, tiler, plumber, locksmith, painter, plasterer, carpenter, bricklayer, horticulturist, or landscape architect to name a few.
The Techniforce range illustrates the desire of Kiplay to offer technical products with a modern look. The influence of fashionable street wear design is clear, and the clever use of contrasting colors emphasizes the styling and design details adapted for professional use. CORDURA® Classic fabric reinforcements can be combined with either polyester/cotton, 100 percent cotton, or CORDURA® NYCO (nylon/cotton) base fabrics, depending on the end-use need. The range is now available in an extended collection of five shades, with white being the color of Kiplay’s spring/summer 2011 line.
This season, the French workwear company has also introduced a 50 percent polyamide/50 percent cotton blend CORDURA® NYCO fabric in the Technoprotect range for a three-quarter-length Pecari trouser that is styled in the same rugged and practical design.
